Winter Birds in January

White-crowned Sparrow

Dark-eyed Juncos

Black-capped Chickadees

Harris's Sparrow

Downy Woodpecker

These are some of the birds that have been visiting
the feeders.  We've been having a mild Winter with
just a small dusting of snow.  It's quite dry out so we
could use the moisture.  Some health issues have
been keeping me away from the computer as of late
but, I'm feeling better, so here is my first post
for the new year :-)

Happy New Year !!

You have a nice selection of yard birds. I especially enjoyed seeing little Downy Woodpecker. Unseasonably warm here too. Glad to hear you a feeling better. Hope you and yours have a great 2012.

Cindy, I love the new look of you blog!

Lovely photographs of the winter birds visiting your feeders. We have similar birds in our area during the season, though I have never seen a Harris's Sparrow before. Love the sweet chickadees and pretty juncos. Wonderful series!

So sorry you have been feeling under the weather. Wishing you a speedy recovery! Happy New Year to you!

Beautiful, beautiful shots of the White-crowned Sparrow--one of my favorite winter visitors! We have had none visit our yard this year. The winter has been so mild, I guess they have had no need! I also love your Harris's Sparrow. It's a bird I want to see badly. We don't get them here in Cincy...
