Wings on Wednesday

Eastern Kingbird

I know these aren't the best photos in the world but
an Eastern Kingbird is a lifer for me!
We were walking around the lake last evening and it kept
following us quite close. My "point and shoot" doesn't
work well without light but good enough for ID purposes.

Hackberry Emperor

That is my guess. Here is a link with
info on this butterfly.

Happy Wednesday!!

Cindy, congratulations on the life bird! Eastern Kingbirds are so very handsome. Gorgeous butterfly image. I see hummingbirds are not the only creatures who enjoy the sugar water at your feeder.

Nice job!! I really like the second shot of the Kingbird--since it is almost dark, it makes for a dramatic shot ( almost B&W). With "wings a flutter" and beak open, it's a great capture. Have a nice weekend. Mickie :)
