Christmas Birds

pictures by cindyzlogic
Merry Christmas! I've been having a busy holiday season but I wanted to take time and share some of the birds we've been seeing the past couple of weeks. We were so thrilled when the Harris's Sparrows began to arrive. Next, came the Dark-eyed Juncos. We've only seen a White-crowned Sparrow a couple of times. We have so many House Sparrows...we're wondering if they've been keeping the White-crowns away?
My husband caught the awesome picture of the Cooper's Hawk! and the Red-bellied Woodpecker visited the feeder once so far. We have also been visited a couple times by a Downy Woodpecker...the pics didn't turn out as he's hiding behind the suet feeder. That's all for now! Wishing everyone who visits here a Very Merry Christmas and great Christmas birding!
"God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. This is the wonderful message He has given [me] to tell others."
2 Corinthians 5:19

Hey! Thanks Craig & Dawn. We love our birds! Sorry Dawn, your comment got lost in cyberspace. I saw something about the Harris's...

Lovely pics, I have not had much time for updating my own blog lately.
May I take this opportunity to wish you a very Happy Christmas.

Wow- great pictures Cindy! I especially love the one of the red-bellied woodpecker. They're frequent visitors to my feeder too :)

Thanks, Cathleen! The Red-bellied photo turned out great because of the light :)
